About Us

What CNVMP3 is

CNVMP3 is a free online tool that turns YouTube videos into MP3 audio files or MP4 video files. Everything happens in your web browser: you paste a link, choose what you want and download the file. There is no software to install and no account to create.

We built it to do one job well: get a song, a podcast episode or a video onto your own device in a few taps.

How it works

1. Paste a YouTube link into the box on the home page or on one of the converter pages, then tap Convert.
2. Choose MP3 or MP4. You see the video, its length and the qualities it offers.
3. Tap the bitrate or quality you want. The file opens in a new tab, ready to save.

Formats and limits

Audio is saved as MP3, and you can choose 320, 256, 192 or 128 kbps. Video is saved as MP4, from 144p up to 1080p Full HD, depending on what the video offers. Only public videos can be converted, and each link saves one video, even when it comes from a playlist.

Made for phones

Most people use CNVMP3 on a phone, so every page is designed for small screens first. Buttons are large and easy to tap, the list of qualities fits on a narrow screen, and the converter works in Safari, Chrome and other modern browsers on iPhone, Android and computers.

What we don't do

• We don't ask you to sign up or log in.
• We don't keep the links you paste or the files you download.
• We don't keep a download history.

Your link is used to find your file and nothing else. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
